Carl Brannon Prayers for Peace June 5, 2012
Just heard this sad news about kristin.  We were introduced to her about 15 years ago through her friend Mike.  She was struggling at the time.  As a pastor and spouse we did what we knew to do - pray.  My wife and I prayed for Kristin to be free from  nightmares which stole away her sleep.  We had contact with her for a couple of years, then lost touch and eventually moved away from the area 5 years ago.  About a year after we arrived in Southern IL, I received a call out of the blue from Kristin.  She saw something on t.v. that reminded her of our prayers which set her free in a dark time.  It was so good to hear her voice and to have her tell us about attending school, her kids, etc..  She sounded so good.  The photos here are such a wonderful reminder of her infectious smile.
Though we do not know her family, our hearts are heavy for your loss.  Again, we will do what we know to do.  We will pray for you as we have often prayed for Kristin.  May God give you His peace which transcends our human understanding and our circumstances.  Carl & Kim

Isaiah 25:8:  He will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces. And the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for Jehovah himself has spoken [it].
Revelation 21: 3, 4: " With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

I'm so sorry that this happened. I'm not sure what to say, but I know that Kristin was a generous and kind spirit. Though she had her share of hurts, she kept her chin up and tried to move against the current. Her memory will always be cherished and her spirit will continue in her young ones, I know. May God keep them and Bless them in His almighty gentle hand and guide them through their loss. My heart breaks for everyone involved.

Kristin, you always told me I made a difference in your life, but I want you to know...you made a difference in mine!  I will always remember your walk down the aisle as you graduated from Gateway.  Thank you for letting me share in your short life...I will always remember you.  God bless you and watch over those two beautiful children!

 To the Family,

I went to school with Kristin in Stockbridge Mass. I remember her well and the memories are fond. She was very compassionate and her will was strong. My thoughts are with you, and may the lord keep you.

Grace A. So hard to say Goodbye February 17, 2011
Kristin -

I met you shortly after you got out (of prison) and you started college. You were shocked that I accepted you for YOU and did not care of the past because that is not what defines you. I gave you rides places, we had some helluva long talks and your determination to help inmates regain their family connection was inspiring. I regret that when I switched colleges we lost touch; however, I though of you often because my friend your inspiration and determination was truly overwhelming - it would have been hard to forget you. (smiling with many tears running down). My dear, you were one of a kind, although you had your downs in life (which I did not know you through) I am grateful to have bonded with you during your trimupth times.

Thank you can never bestow the impact you have had in my life. This shouldn't have happened to you - you had so much you wanted to change in this world. Your kids need you as much as you needed them. However, selfish we want to be to keep you here on earth - it is soothing to know you are finally safe and free my dear friend.

I will wear the friendship ring you gave me with great pride, honor and in remembrance of you. Rest in peace darling.

Love your friend;
Grace A.

This has BY FAR got to be the hardest thing to write to you, Kristin. I can't seem to get the right words out. Nothing seems to sound right so bare with me....You were my sister...we had our ups...we had our downs. But I don't think i would trade any of them for anything in the world. Every moment meant something, in it's own weird special kinda way. We were so much alike, yet so very different at the same time. I will never forget our talks. Our silliness when we would call eachother at all hours of the night to rag about life's problems. I will never forget you were there in the hospital with me when I had Jasmine, your baby shower for Asia...and anything else we shared together. The good out-weighs the bad right now. I will always love you and NEVER forget you or the memories you left behind for me. You will always be in my heart and forever in my soul. Rest in Peace, Kristin. You are in a much better place!

Kelli & Jasmine

Kristin you will be missed. We had so many long talks . We shared so much  about children and life changes. I will miss your smile and caring heart. Your giving sprirt of times that you gave your last dollar to help someone. I will always remember the baby clothes , toys, chairs and etc... you gave to my grand daughter...

2 Timothy 4:17

You have fought the good fight. You have finished the race. You have kept the faith..

Rest well good friend.. For.you will never have to prove to people that you were indeed a good and decent individual and a good mother.... Your children will allow the world to know that by how they keep your spirit alive in their good works of deed

Kris, you will be missed. Your kids will know who you are and what a wonderful mom you were. I am sad that there was no time to say good bye but I am happy that you are now with God and NO one could ever hurt you. You are loved by all and liked by others. God bless you. Cheri, I am so sorry for your loss. If you need anything let me know. I just want you to know one thing... You do not have to worry any more she is now safe in God's arms, let him guide you while she is watching over you, mom, dad, her babies and yours. She loves you and she will be the angel you have always needed.

Love you and yours. My prayers are with you all.

Jen, Calieb, and Meta.

Cheri, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. I may have not known Kristin personally, but you are like family to me and your loss is my loss. "If tears could build a stairway and memories were a lane, We would walk all the way to Heaven, to bring you home again No farewell words were spoken, no time to say good-bye You were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why Our hearts ache in sadness, and secret tears will flow What is meant to lose you, no one will ever know" Anonymous

Lisa Messerly Little Did We Know That Morning February 11, 2011

Little Did We Know That Morning
Little did we know that morning
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories,
Your love is still our guide.
And though we cannot see you,
You are always by our side.
Our family chain is broken
And nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.
